Live Eyewear is based in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California. They focus all of their efforts on designing and manufacturing optical grade sunwear that can be worn over prescription eyewear. THE LIVE EYEWEAR PHILOSOPHY

If you already own a pair of Cocoons, we hope you're extremely pleased. If you are contemplating buying your first pair, we at Live Eyewear would like to share our philosophy with you, as it is the underlying motivation behind the design of our unique collection of eyewear.

For over a quarter of a century we have focused on designing and building sunwear that virtually isolate your eyes from the elements.  Immediately identifiable from conventional sunglasses, the design and engineering behind Cocoons is guided by performance rather than the latest fashion. Until you wear a pair, it's difficult to appreciate.

Approximately ten minutes after first putting on a pair of Cocoons, your eyes will begin to relax. Any light (direct or indirect) that reaches your eyes is filtered or blocked out completely. Light transmission is strictly regulated, glare removed, UV blocked, and the majority of wind, rain or airborne debris is prevented from reaching your eyes. That's why we call them Cocoons. Your eyes are virtually isolated from the elements.
